Atmospheric Brooklyn shoe-gazers Dive announced this week that they have changed the band name to DIIV out of respect to the 1990’s Belgian band, Dive. The name has changed, but nothing else about this band has, thankfully. I reviewed the band earlier this year and this is another quality release from the bands upcoming debut “Oshin”. A little darker than “How Long Have You known?”, the song features typically energetic drums and glorious guitar playing that reminds me of The Cure.
Oshin is out June 26th via Captured Tracks.
