2:54 are Irish-born sisters Colette and Hannah Thurlow, and they are good, very good. They release yet another new track this week, which is always good. Technically “Creeping” was released in 2010 but it’s after getting a little studio polishing and the end result is their best release to date. It contains one of the best hooks I’ve heard this year along with one killer guitar-solo outro. They have decided to drop some of the background noise from the original version which certainly makes this sound that little more mainstream. Expect to hear an awful lot more from this fantastic duo as they are supporting The xx on tour this month. Tune of the week.
Their debut is due May 28th on Fat Possum.
